I’ve read this already a few years ago. The main character is Obsessive/Compulsive and is addicted to quitting things just when she gets good. She gets good at being the substitute math teacher at an elementary school, but she doesn’t quit that for some reason. After a while I realized the chapters are written in Pulp Fiction chronology.
