Helping Evelyn Mount

Last month I had the chance to help Evelyn Mount pack food for seniors in Reno. I know what you’re thinking. It’s not Thanksgiving or Christmas; that’s when Evelyn Mount does her stuff. Apparently, she works all year round, providing food baskets for seniors.

MaryJo was there for few hours, but it was mainly just me and another guy, Bob. Usually it’s just Bob. He gives Mrs. Mount a hard time, telling her to go in a take a nap. They seem to have good rapport with each other even though Bob only started volunteering regularly since last Thanksgiving.

Mrs. Mount has a carport over her driveway. I ducked to walk underneath it, but not far enough. I cut my head pretty good. When I showed my wife, she gasped a little and said I should have gotten stitches. As far as I’m concerned should have gotten stitches translates into you’ll have a horrible scar. This was several days ago and I think it’s healing up okay. I may have a tiny divot when it’s completely healed.

I’m sorry that I didn’t have the chance to ask a doctor if my hair would grow back.
