The Odds Seem Astronomical

I don’t think it’s a secret that my wife and I are trying to have a baby. Trying being the operative word. Remember in sex ed. at school where we were scared into thinking if we so much as stick our tongue in a girl’s ear there’s a possiblity she may get pregnant? In actuality, it’s a little tougher than that, involving a several variables. Getting pregnant—to me—is more akin to the planets aligning.

Dear Jesus, would you move heaven and earth for us?

I’ve been praying for you both. In all God’s timing, it is so hard to wait… I know, I’ve been waiting on Him for about 20 years. Noah waited 100 years before it rained. Out of all the things He asks us to do, I think waiting is the hardest. However, I could be wrong, and I dont’ want to tempt Him to show me a harder thing. But I am praying regularly for you guys.

Then again, think of how long He has been waiting on us…
